An actor is one person or a group.
An actor has one or more roles to play. Roles
A group is two or more people who work together or who are connected in some way. Examples of Groups:
- Partners, family, extended family, cousins
- Friends group, walking group
- Sports team, project team, committee
- Department in a company, college in a university
- City, county, state, country, people on planet earth
- Tribe, congregation, political party
Examples of Actors and Roles
A university is a group of people. Thus, it is an actor. The roles of the university reflect what the university is responsible for. Some of the roles are to educate students, to publish research findings, and to provide extension services to the state. In addition, various subgroups within a university have roles such as marketing, running the library, and registering students.
